Rampart Reservoir is located in Pike National Forest, northwest of Colorado Springs , on granite plateau approximately 9,000 feet (2,743 m) above sea level. Incredibly clean, it supplies the domestic drinking water for the city of Colorado Springs.
The reservoir is open from late April through November, and reservoir is reach with lake, brown, cutthroat and rainbow trout.
